Student Programs
University Academic Programs and Services (UAPS) provides staff support
to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and coordinates
university-wide student policies and programs across the campuses in
areas including admissions, student financial assistance, and residency
for tuition purposes.
This unit manages the President's Award Program; provides
coordination of university-wide activities related to Admissions and
formulates policy for consideration by the Board of Trustees;
coordinates and administers university-wide student scholarships; is
responsible for development of University Residency Policies and for
Illinois residency appeals from students on the campuses; is responsible
for tuition appeals from students on the campuses; analyzes
implications of changes in state and federal programs and regulations
related to areas of responsibility; and responds to requests for
information and assistance from the Office of the Vice President for
Academic Affairs, university units, and external agencies.
